Whats is BLOCK#1
Blockchain has emerged as potential gateway to the development of industrial technology in the future. The last three years, blockchain, originally designed for cryptocurrency Bitcoin, is gaining a lot of popularity and traction in Indonesia.
Believed still at an initial stage, this technology is not user-friendly enough for the people nor the Web2 developers. There is a lot of work still to be done to deliver this technology to be benefitted for many people, particularly for industry, government, and social activities.
Comprehensive public test are required for blockchain to be an ideal system. Blockchain education and literacy should also be improved to comprehend challenges this technology may poses. And universities are considered as strategic partners to discuss about this subject.
Therefore, BLOCK#1 initiates a discussion forum in campuses to raise concern about blockchain, as one of the most-hyped topics of the computing world recently. It also encourages academic community to conduct comprehensive academic studies in terms of technology, regulation, infrastructure, economy, and social, related to blockchain.
